A recent article that I found quoted a study by Realtor.com, showed that in some cities the residents stay longer than in other areas.
I’m often asked “how often do people move out of their homes in Albuquerque?” Well, that depends. If you mean changing homes, Albuquerque residents seem to like to move around a lot, but they are actually staying put within the city. They move up, or downsize, or move to a different lifestyle, on average about every 3-4 years. That seems frequent, but I think it’s because we have such great lifestyle diversity here.
