Albuquerque has had a great history encompassed in the development of their neighborhoods. The biggest push for new development might have been in the late 1950’s when the builders and developers started creeping east towards what is now the Northeast Heights. Land was plentiful and new ideas and innovations in home building were on the move.
Builders like Dale Bellamah, who developed our most successful neighborhoods like Parkland Hills, Ridgecrest, Mesa Village, and Princess Jeanne, were the pioneers in Albuquerque for new development. These neighborhoods still thrive today and are going through their own new renaissance. These newly remodeled homes are offering a great opportunity for first time home buyers to have a wonderful home at an affordable price. The price points in these areas are a great opportunity to home flippers to restore and renew the area.
When neighborhoods go through these renewals, it can renew and improve home values as each home gets their facelift and and thus increase prices in the area.

I stumbled upon your article doing a search oh home builders in the Mesa Court Addition. It is generally unknown but a fact that some of the original if not THEE original homes built by Fred Mossman and Ed Snow were built on Simms Ct and Simms Avenue I the late 1940s and early 50’s. Mine is an original Mossman. As a point of interest , Fred Boston timestamped his early builds by hiding a current news paper in the walls of the structure. My timestamp was an Albuquerque Journal from October 16, 1949. A great historical find as there is much in history on that date!
